This adventure is designed to play casually as a one shot in a tubular party atmosphere, its soooo bodacious.

One suggestion would be that perhaps the rooms are magically inaccessible without him nearby Or better yet Pidlwick II could tell you that most of the other denizens of the castle would attack the NPCs on sight as trespassers unless Strahd is with them Considering how this is built on the Weekend at Bernies concept, the adventure never really puts you in a situation where you have to convince anyone that Strahd isnt basically half-dead now.

I wish the module tied this in better or gave even a few suggestions on howwhy to convey this to your players.

See more for the High Tower Staircase (K18) for one of the potential Pentaforce locations, but really I feel like Heart of Sorrow (K20-3) makes more sense.

Not sure if this is an oversight or if Im missing something Three, the adventure starts on Page 2 with saying the party finds itself in the Dining Hall (K10) with Strahds corpse.

But. one of the potential Pentaforce locations is ALSO in the Dining hall with a bunch of other things happening in the room upon the PCs arrival.

Now, Im having to run this online due to COVID, so if youre playing in person with some dungeon tiles, maybe this isnt as big of a deal for you.

But even if I was playing in person, Id want to be able to recreate the referenced rooms fairly accurately.

So if youve already got Ravenloft maps, this is no biggie.

But I dont. I also dont want to take the time to make maps.

So I spent 10 to get some Ravenloft maps from another user on this site.

Five, and I wish I had known about this before I purchased it, theres a bunch of meta-references to Matthew Mercer, Jeremy Crawford, and Chris Perkins.

Now, Im the nerdy DM and I know who these people are, but my players dont.

This is also a send-up of the 80s, so I dont know why these couldnt have been more well-known, time-relevant references.
